Once a flight has been operated, data such as the number of passengers, the amount of uplifted cargo, mail and fuel, the departure and arrival dates and times and the aircraft used to operate the flight, is captured from the flight operation systems.
Almira will then estimate the costs incurred by the flight. The cost of the flight will be computed by combining this operational data with the expense register allowing the airline to be aware of costs incurred by the flight before receiving the invoices from suppliers. Flight operating costs may be transferred to General Ledger. These values will be automatically adjusted to reflect the actual costs incurred following the receipt and reconciliation of invoices.
